Concrete and Glass is our new fashion column; a mixture of street photography and journalism, its main focus is on young, fashionable people in Milton Keynes; capturing them (with their permission) on the street, and asking them about the way they dress, and what their style inspirations are. Each column will feature a selection of these photos and written content. The column will promote the varied fashion choices of people in the city, whatever their ethnicity or personal fashion choices are. It will give these people a medium through which they can express themselves, and promote Milton Keynes as an up-and-coming fashion centre.
This column by David Stuchbury, a local fashion photojournalist, will debut in our March 2010 issue. For a sneak peak, click here. For a much wider view on what is to come why not visit our Maybe Fashion website.
David was born in the UK and educated in London, his previous work was with The Japan Times newspaper in Tokyo, covering Japan Fashion Week and writing a monthly Style Wise column. He continues to cover fashion for Japan-i, and is committed to helping establish a fashion scene in Milton Keynes.
David will also be leading our Introduction to Fashion Photojournalism workshops in our MK Festival of Learning training scheme.

Almost 100 jobs are being created for the unemployed in
The 96 positions will be for young people, many of whom are yet to have their first experience of work, Milton Keynes Council said.
More than half of the jobs will be available in the next few months.
They include posts at MAYBE MAGAZINE, charity Women and Work, MK College, MK Dons Education Trust and Age Concern.
Jenni Ferrans, cabinet member for economic development, said: "We are determined that our young people will not suffer the depression that mass youth unemployment brings.
"I thank all those who have worked hard to identify suitable jobs and training."
Other employers who plan to take on young people under the scheme include Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust, Thames Valley Police, MKC Landscapes and Railcare.'
We would like to welcome our new administrator, Amy to the team.
